Bringing bass to life with his analogue synth wizardry, ZEKE BEATS is quickly making a name for himself amongst the international bass community. It is hard to describe the futuristic sound ZEKE BEATS is pushing out, although influences of hip hop, grime, and bass are readily evident, creating a sound which has a profound impact on the evolution of modern bass music.
His distinctly dirty and crunchy sound is quickly being discovered by labels, DJ’s and producers alike, receiving support from The Gaslamp Killer, DJ Craze, Noisia, Ta-Ku, Baauer, Eprom, DJ Shadow and Bassnectar, who has even crafted his own personal edit of ZEKE’s signature tune ‘Meltdown’.
His accolades as a turntablist and performer include being named the first ever “Qbert Skratch University Valedictorian”, being asked to perform the Australian premiere of “Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra” with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, performing the piece live on the ABC Classical Radio One National (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) and taking out the Western Australian Red Bull Threestyle DJ Championship.
Most recently, ZEKE signed with Madison House – the home of bass royalty Bassnectar, as well as Jillionaire, Keys N Krates, Z-Trip and Hilltop Hoods. Add to this the release of his latest track ‘Bounce’ with Bassrush, hosts of the hottest bass stages at the hottest festivals in the world, as well as ZEKE’s headline support slot for Nero and you’ve cooked yourself up a pretty tasty 2016. There’ll be no easing up in 2017 though, ZEKE’s already been picked as one of inthemix’s 2017 breakthrough artists, has an upcoming collab with Eprom via The Gaslamp Killer’s soon-to-be-launched label as well as a masterful remix of Slumberjack’s ‘RA’ via Mad Decent that is set to blow minds and speakers.
Zeke has recently done an exclusive mix for National Australian Broadcast Radio “Triple J” who are also broadcasting Zeke’s music. Zeke will also be doing a featured mix on UK National Radio “Rinse FM” curated by the well established artist Plastician. BBC1xtra have picked up on his latest MELTDOWN EP and Toddla T has been playing it during his segment.
The bass revolution is here, and ZEKE BEATS is at the forefront of the charge.
