Melodic and intense, Royalston traverses the vast landscape of Drum & Bass with a dexterity that is often envied.
Royalston, real name Dylan Martin, fell into production when he needed some sound effects for an animation he created, ditched the animation and never looked back. Animation’s loss became Drum & Bass’ gain, with the forward-thinking Australian being signed to the prestigious Medschool Music, an arm of Hospital Records, and garnering support from Radio 1 Extra, London Elektricity, Laurent Garnier & Beats 1. Royalston’s track ‘Blight Mamba’ was featured in the ‘Need For Speed’ and ‘Forza Horizon 3’ soundtracks, and his track ‘Lunar’ on the ‘Forza Horizon 2’ soundtrack. Royalston has also lent his unique style to remixes for The Presets, Art vs Science, Everything Everything and London Elektricity.
This impressive resume has seen Royalston hitting festival stages at Outlook, Stereosonic and several Hospitality Festivals around Europe, as well as being the go-to support for artists like Andy C, Netsky & London Elektricity. Add to this 3 standalone UK/Europe tours, as well as shows in Croatia, Israel, Malayshia, New Zealand, Slovakia, Estonia and Australia and it’s clear that crowds are vibing Royalston’s heady and skillful sets.
Currently working on his third album and with a huge 2017 planned, Royalston is making his name as a champion of Drum & Bass in its purest form.
